A day in the life of Baby L
6:00 a.m. - big sister starts bugging me, I eat.
6:30 a.m. - Mom gives up getting me back to sleep, we get coffee.
7:00 a.m. - I swing while big sisters eat.
7:15 a.m. - I eat. I poop.
7:30 a.m. - big sisters play with me while mom packs lunch for C.
7:45 a.m. - I fall asleep on C's shoulder.
8:00 a.m. - fresh pants and I get buckled into my car seat, all basically still asleep.
8:15 a.m. - meet C's preschool class, dozing.
8:45 a.m. - sleeping, I run into the post office.
9:00 a.m. - sleeping while mom and E play at the park.
11:00 a.m. - I wake up, still strapped in my carseat, on the kitchen table!
11:01 a.m. - fresh pants, and I eat!
11:20 a.m. - still eating...and pooping.
11:45 a.m. - nakey time outside while mom hangs laundry. I roll from my back to my side!
Before: I was flat on my back...
After:
12:00 p.m. - I'm hanging out awake on mom's shoulder, fed, aired, and content!
12:07 p.m. - decided I'm not so content any more...nursing.
12:15 p.m. - passed out on the breast.
1:00 p.m. - still sleeping. Mom's waking me so we can go to the children's museum with E.
2:00 p.m. - sleeping in my mei tai wrap...mom's drinking coffee - maybe I'll stay up all night now (hee hee)
3:00 p.m. - woke up to eat, then headed to children's museum.
3:15 p.m. - eating again.
3:45 p.m. - enjoying some active-alert time and fresh pants.
4:00 p.m. - back home, dozed in the car.
4:30 p.m. - eating again!
5:00 p.m. - hangin' with big sis C, home from school and so happy to see me.
5:30 p.m. - eating again (seeing a theme?).
5:45 p.m. - pooped.
6:00 p.m. - hangin' with both big sisters, awake and alert.
6:10 p.m. - oops, too much stimulation - break down!
6:11 p.m. - ate, passed out again.
7:00 p.m. - to mom's meeting, where I sleep and get passed around to the other ladies.
10:30 p.m. - mom is a party animal! We're still out - I nurse and go back to sleep.
12:00 a.m. - finally in bed!
And we move on to the next exciting day...

Baby L
He nurses like a champ and is generally quite sleepy; he was back up to 7 lb yesterday, from 6lb 13 oz on Friday...what else can I say about a newborn? We think he's gorgeous and sweet-natured.
I've added some pictures from yesterday and today to the shutterfly album.
Happy birthday today to Aunt K!

More Baby Boy and Sisters
Baby Boy is strong! He actually holds his head up, looking around...we're amazed. He is quite active, continuing the trend from in utero! Last night he stayed awake for hours, then finally slept a good four-hour stretch, nursed, and went back to sleep (for two more hours). He is somewhat of a night owl though, which makes a long evening for a tired mom :)

E is still sick - not running a fever, but vomitting. Her spirits are fine, though she's definitely operating a bit slower.
C went to preschool yesterday and told everybody about her new brother. Yesterday when he woke up from a nap and was starting to fuss, she ran into our room, picked him up cradle-hold, and slowly rocked him until he was quiet! She's a natural :)
More this afternoon! Ooh...maybe even a name?!

Could this be a boy?
Just got this from a post on MDC:
Fun facts on gestation:
Shorter gestations - Asian, Semitic, Hispanic, Mediterranean (a week or so early with first)
Average gestations: Celtic, Russian or French (right around the due date)
Longer gestations - African, Germanic or Scandinavian (2-4 weeks past the due date)
AND!
CONCLUSION: Male gender significantly predisposes to the prolongation of pregnancy to the extent that, by 43 weeks of gestation, there are 3 male deliveries for every 2 female deliveries.

Could this be why Baby3 is taking longer?? Hopefully, an answer soon.

No news is...well, no news
Sorry to disappoint all you baby-watchers. No action from the womb over the weekend.
It's been a hot week here, with more of the same to come. The girls spent hours over the weekend in the pool! We're on our way to a splash pad this morning - a really cool invention! They have sprinklers and fountains that spray water, so the kids run around, staying cool and having fun...and the water doesn't collect, so no safety hazard :)
Happy belated Mother's Day to all the moms reading - interesting fact we heard on the radio yesterday: Mother's Day was signed into law as the second Sunday of May in 1914. It was started a few years prior to that by a school teacher who decided she needed to honor her mother more. Kind of interesting. I always assumed it was a Hallmark Holiday!
Happy birthday to our IC neighbor C...and belated birthday wishes to his lovely wife K! K informed me yesterday that the buyer of our house was running around the backyard sword-fighting with some friends...hm.
Keep watching - a fun update can't be too far away!

Stats game, revisited
Due to a lack of other news...
Back in January, I asked you guys to take guesses on baby's birthday, gender, and vital stats... thanks to those who have played, and please add a guess if you haven't yet...it's still not too late ;)
If this link doesn't take you directly to our game, enter "BabyBass" in the upper left corner where it asks for the name of the game!
These are the guesses entered so far for baby's birthday:

May 7, 6:27 pm
May 8, 8:00 am
May 8, 5:20 pm
May 9, 7:30 am

May 10, 7:00 am
May 11, 4:00 am
May 12, 12:00 am

-I did include guesses from the big sisters...but obviously the only part they guessed was boy/girl. For the date, we asked them which day of the week, and assigned a date from that. The weight/length they didn't guess!
And for those who haven't guessed yet, a little history on my previous births:
C was 7 lbs; 19.5 in; born 3 days before her "due date" at 10:30 p.m.
E was 6 lbs, 11 oz; 19.5 in; born on her "due date" at 3:30 p.m.

Babies all around...
Congrats to my friend and due-date buddy J!
Her baby daughter was born May 1
And my SIL's mare had a baby boy early this morning! Tessa (mare) and I have been growing along together...and ever since SIL got her (already pregnant) in the fall, we figured we'd birth about the same time...So hopefully I'm not far behind :)
The foal:
